Lead Naturalist Guides

We're looking for naturalists who are passionate about sharing their love of the outdoors and skilled at leading group nature hikes.  Must have experience leading groups and be comfortable speaking in public situations.  If you're an outdoor enthusiast and employed full-time, we still want to hear from you or someone you'd be interested in referring.   When we find guides that know their stuff and enjoy a little side work we do our best to find a way to work together, even if it's only a few times a year.   Current Hocking College Eco Tourism students who've completed some course work should apply. 

Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to lead educational treks for groups of 15 or more, all ages
Comfortable speaking publicly about geology, biology and wildlife unique to the region
Must maintain current First Aid & CPR certifications, WFR (wilderness first responder) is preferred
Must have a car, be flexible and demonstrate a love of all things nature as you deliver a fantastic customer experience

Rock Climbing & Rappelling Guides

We offer rock climbing treks at several locations around Ohio including the Hocking State Forest, John Bryan State Park near Yellow Springs and the Columbus Metro Park's Scioto Audobon Climbing wall.  We offer rappelling where permitted.  Candidates for lead guide positions are proven experts with formal training and certifications including  some or all of the following:  Hocking College students who've taken rock climbing, rescue and advanced rescue courses, graduates of the Hocking College Ranger Institute and individuals holding AMGA, SPRAT or IRATA certifications (or are in the process of obtaining those certifications).   If you're an outdoor enthusiast with a ropes background and have these or similar qualifications we'd like to hear from you.  Current Hocking College students should who have taken some course work or are planning to take ropes courses within the next semester should also apply.

Qualifications:
Must be familiar with the terrain at designated climbing areas
Highly aware of the need to demonstrate, adapt to and maintain our safety standards
Skilled in the use of all equipment and capable of demonstrating appropriate setup, safety, rescue and on rope adventure
Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required, WFR (wilderness first responder) is preferred
Must have a car, be flexible and demonstrate a will to provide a fantastic customer experience

Trek Network is Ohio's premier guide service and team building adventure company.  After launching in 2011 in the Hocking Hills region as Hocking Hills Adventure Trek, we've since expanded our services and grown to accommodate the entire state of Ohio, catering to individuals, families, businesses, schools, universities and nonprofits. 

We offer nature hikes, team building events, rock climbing, rappelling, fishing, archery, air rifle, survival training, living history and live bluegrass.  We also provide training in canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

Lead Fishing Guides

We're looking for fishing guides that know Ohio waters and are willing to use their feet!  TrekNetwork's "OhioBellyBoatFishing" service offers the best way to fish the AEP ReCreation Lands and TriValley and Woodbury wildlife areas.  We also serve the Hocking Hills tourism market by offering belly boat fishing treks at Rose Lake near Old Man's Cave, Lake Hope and Lake Rupert in Vinton county.  Guiding a belly boat fishing trek is a a blast and we need expert anglers that have great personalities and are willing to take excellent care of our customers.   Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast and employed part time or full-time, we swant to hear from you or someone you'd be interested in referring.   When we find guides who know their stuff and enjoy a little side work we do our best to find a way to work together, even if it's only a few times a year.   Current Hocking College Wildlife and Eco Tourism students who've completed some course work should apply. 

Qualifications:
Demonstrated local knowledge in regions that we fish ability to lead fishing treks for groups of up to 4, ages 9+
Comfortable managing customer situations in a business setting and delivering a fantastic customer experience
Must maintain current First Aid & CPR certifications, WFR (wilderness first responder) is preferred
Must have transportation, preferably a truck or SUV
