With Waterfront Module

Course Length: 2-3 days + 12 hours of preliminary online work: ​​

Earn your Lifeguard Certification from the American Red Cross with us. The American Red Cross Life Guard course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies, and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

This course can be schedule on a group basis for a minimum of 6 participants or individual participants can attend Midwest Adventure Training Camp 2016 at FFA Ohio/ Camp Muskingum. 

​​The course also includes the Waterfront Module. Participants must sign up in advance and complete approximately 12 hours of preliminary work online. The first activity for each participant is to pass a swimming test including a 300 yard open water swim.  Participants must also retrieve an object from the bottom of the swimming area, rise to the surface, place the object on their chest and swim backwards to shore. Failure to complete the initial test results in being excused from the course and forfeiture of the course fee. 

Prerequisite: Online registration & completion of approximately 12 hours of web based interactive learning

Class size max: 12

Age limit: 15+ (any minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian onsite)
